Review entry activity across your sites, filter it, and save the views your team works from, with our new Check-ins page for Entry Management.
Overview
Check-ins is the current home for entry activity in Zipline, replacing the legacy Activity page.
All existing data and behaviour is retained — every people type, including legacy flows. What changed is the table format, how statuses and warnings are rendered, and how much you can filter.
Turn it on
The new page is enabled per organisation. Ask your Product Adoption Manager or Support to switch it on.
Until then your team continues on the legacy Activity page.
Basics
Open Check-ins from Entry Management in the sidebar.
You land on today's check-ins across every location you have access to, newest first. Someone who checked in at 11:59pm last night and is still on site stays under Today until they check out, so overnight shifts don't disappear at midnight.
Each row is one check-in: who arrived, their profile type, who or what they are visiting, the location, and the time. The table scrolls sideways when there are more columns than screen.
Filter

Profile type | Staff, contractors, visitors and so on, listed alphabetically. Multi-select. |
Check type | Narrow to a particular kind of check-in. |

Status | Active (still on site) or Complete (checked out). |
Date options are dynamic — "This week" always means the current week, so a filter set today still makes sense next month.
Search sits in the top nav, in the same place as People and Applications. Reset returns everything to Date = Today, Location = All, Profile type = All visitors, Check type = All check-ins, Warnings = All, and clears the search box.
Sort by Latest check-in, Oldest check-in, Name (A–Z), Visiting (A–Z), or Location (A–Z). Click the sort again to flip direction.
Warnings
Warnings have their own column, in alphabetical order. Where a person has more than one, the first is shown with a +Nbadge — hover to read the rest.
The Warnings filter replaces the legacy Compliance status filter, and is more precise: you can pull up one specific warning rather than a broad compliance state.
Add a check-in
Use the Add button on the Views bar to record a check-in manually, for anyone who came through outside the kiosk.
Exemption tracking
Zipline records when a person is first let through on an exemption and counts consecutive exemptions from there. The count appears as Exempted ×N, and only once N is greater than one.
Any exemption on check-in increments the count.
Any full check-in without a staff override resets it to zero and clears the first-exemption date. This is deliberate — a warn-only site where someone walks through still non-compliant does reset the streak, as does an admin creating a check-in from the portal.
Partial check-ins neither increment nor reset.
Counts are not backfilled, so everyone starts at zero on release. Treat the first few weeks as a baseline.
To review repeat cases on a cadence, filter by the exemption warning and save it as a view.
Last check-in on the People tab
Check-in data also surfaces on the Worker Compliance People tab, so you can find contractors who are technically compliant but haven't been on site in a year, or who came through recently and still aren't compliant.
A Last check-in filter after Role, with buckets from Never through to more than a year ago.
A Last check-in column after Notes. The timestamp links straight to the check-in record.
Two sort options, Recent check-in and Oldest check-in. People who have never checked in lead when sorting ascending.
Both appear only when Check-In is enabled for the organisation, and neither appears on the Supplier list. The filter and sort can both be saved in a view.
Saved views
Saved views work here exactly as they do on Applications and People, including personal and organisation-wide views. See Saved views.
Because the date options are dynamic, a view like "Contractors on site this week with warnings" keeps working without anyone editing it.
FAQ
Do we lose anything by moving off the legacy page? No data. Every people type the old page supported, including legacy flows, is supported here. The gaps are the Emergencies and Outings tabs and the features listed under Turn it on.
Someone is on site but isn't in the list. Check the Status filter first — if it is set to Complete, anyone still on site is hidden. Then check Location and Profile type.
Will "This week" need updating in a saved view? No. Today, This week, and Last week are evaluated each time the view is opened.
