A cleaner sidebar, a tidier top bar, and less clicking to get where you're going.
We're rolling this out gradually. The new navigation is being switched on organisation by organisation over the coming months. You will be notified before this is turned on for your organisation. Nothing you've set up changes when it arrives — same pages, same permissions, same saved views.
Everything one hover away in the sidebar
Zipline's main sections now live in a slim sidebar down the left. Hover over any of them and a menu pops out with everything inside it, so you can see what's available without leaving the page you're on or clicking through a level first.
Introducing bookmarks for easy access to the pages you use most
You can now bookmark and saved view. Pin the handful of pages you open every morning and they're one click away from anywhere in Zipline.
Hover a bookmark to reveal its icon, and click that to remove it.
A top bar that stays out of the way
The top of every page now carries the page name, and in many pages, an easy-to-reach search bar, as well as user-level settings.
Page titles and buttons that used to be repeated inside the page have been removed, so there's more room for the content you came to look at. The Add button now sits with the Views bar, in the same place on every page.
A fresher look with a new typeface
Zipline has moved to a new typeface, with lighter weights and tighter sizing throughout. It's a small change, but it makes dense tables considerably easier to read at a glance.
Location is a filter now
The location switcher has moved out of the top navigation and become a filter on the pages where it matters — sitting alongside your other filters, with the same options: all locations, a location group, or a single site.
FAQ
Do I need to do anything? No. The new navigation arrives automatically, and everything carry across.
Has anything been removed? No pages have been removed. Some have moved into the sidebar's pop-out menus, and a few have been renamed for consistency.
Where did the location switcher go? It's now a filter on individual pages rather than a global control on the top navigation bar. See "Location is a filter now" above.
Can I turn it off? The rollout is managed per organisation. If the new navigation is causing your team problems, contact Support to share feedback.
