Zipline can execute National Coordinated Criminal History Checks (NCCHC) for candidates, employees and volunteers.

Executing NCCHCs from Zipline ensures a consistent and seamless experience, especially for administrators, as well as minimising the time to comply!

Summary

  • Five forms of identification are required before a NCCHC can be executed

  • Three green ticks are required on NCCHC related requirements

  • Results are on the Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check requirement

Overview

Before executing a NCCHC, Zipline must first receive sufficient identification. Refer to this article for details.

Once identification requirements have been satisfied, Zipline uses three different requirements to manage the NCCHC.

Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check

This requirement is used to manage record the NCCHC result and certificate.

This requirement will start with a status of pending when a candidate, employee or volunteer is invited to QuickStart. Once they provide consent to Zipline executing a NCCHC on their behalf the requirement status will move to Zipline - Needs review.

Within one business day of this requirement being set to Zipline - Needs review and identification requirements being satisfactorily completed, Zipline will execute the NCCHC via the Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission (ACIC). At this point, the requirement status will move to processing.

Once ACIC has completed the NCCHC

Zipline will populate data fields with relevant information(e.g. reference number, issue date), attach the NCCHC certificate and mark the requirement as either approved or Customer - Needs review.

  • If Zipline has not been authorised to approve the NCCHC requirement in certain circumstances (e.g. when a DCO is listed), then Zipline will set the NCCHC requirement to Customer - Needs review and it will appear for administrators to review via the Magic Inbox and Status filter.

  • Once the NCCHC has been reviewed and all internal risk assessments completed, the requirement should be marked approved or rejected.

Zipline Admin - NPC Submission

This admin-only requirement is used to manage the Zipline’s submission of the NCCHC request with ACIC.

When Zipline is ready to execute the NCCHC, this requirement will be moved to a status of processing. Once the NCCHC request has been lodged with ACIC, the status of this requirement will move to approved.

When the Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check requirement is processing and the Zipline Admin - NPC Submission is approved, the NCCHC has been initiated.

Zipline Admin - NPC Status

This admin-only requirement is used to manage the status of the NCCHC request that has been lodged with ACIC.

Once the NCCHC request has been lodged with ACIC, this requirement will move from a status of pending to a status of processing.

Once ACIC has completed the NCCHC, the status of this requirement will move from processing to approved.

Within one business day of this requirement being set to approved, Zipline will report the results of the NCCHC on the Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check requirement.

Important:

  • ACIC completes approximately 70% of NCCHCs within 15 minutes

  • ACIC can to take up to 30 business days to complete a NCCHC

  • ACIC provides no information in instances where the NCCHC requires longer than 15 minutes to complete, only the status of processing is known

The NCCHC is completed once all three requirements go green
