A Personal Hotspot/Tethering lets you share the cellular data connection of your Android Smartphone when your RateIt device cannot connect to your business' WiFi. This hotspot is just a temporary connection so that the RateIt Support Team can unlock the app for you so that you can re-connect to the location's WiFi or enable Cellular Data from there.

Please note that the hotspot name and password should be configured to the below details, and they are case-sensitive (All lowercase). The RateIt device is initially configured to automatically recognise the network below:

Hotspot Name: rateit
Password: rateit123

Step 1: Configuring the hotspot

1. Launch device Settings on your Android smartphone
2. Navigate to Connections -> Mobile Hotspot and Tethering
3. Turn Mobile Hotspot ON
4. Tap the Menu icon and then tap Configure Mobile Hotspot
5. Change the Network Name to " rateit" - case sensitive like below:

6. Change the Password to "rateit123" - case sensitive like below:

7. Tap the Save button; done!

Step 2: Reboot your RateIt device

Reboot your device to connect to the hotspot. For iPads(iOS devices), simply press and hold the power button (the one along the top) and the home button (the main button on the front of the device, towards the bottom) at the same time until the screen turns black; and for Android tablets, press and hold the power button, and then tap "Restart" on the pop-up.

Important Note: Please make sure that the RateIt Device and the Hotspot are close to each other when rebooting the device to ensure a successful connection.
