Setting up Google Reviews in RateIt

You can read and respond to Google Reviews in the RateIt Portal. This guide helps you do the one-off setup required to bring these reviews into RateIt.

Preparation

You will need SuperUser access to the RateIt portal to set up Google Reviews. Once set up, other users on your account can access these reviews (for the locations they have access to).

  1. Login to your Google MyBusiness account with Google.

  2. Check if your account has access to the locations you would like to connect with RateIt.

  3. If not, please get in touch with the Google MyBusiness admin for your organisation to give you access to relevant locations before you start.

Configuration

Step 1: Log in to RateIt Portal

Go to https://portal.rateitapp.com to log in, and then head to the "Settings" tab. From there, click on Google (under Social Reviews)

Step 1: Connect with Google My Business

Click the β€˜Connect with Google My Business’ button, and go through the Google Authentication steps, to give our app the required permissions to access reviews.

Step 3: Map Google Locations to RateIt Locations

For each Google Location that you want to see in RateIt, pick the equivalent RateIt location for the list. This will allow relevant users in your company to see these reviews (based on access to those locations). Click Save when you are done. You can come back to the Google tab in Settings anytime to update this mapping or map new locations when required. If you would like some new RateIt Locations set up, please get in touch with your RateIt Customer Success Manager.
