π¨οΈ What will happen when someone is checking in and the printer runs out of paper?
At the end of the check-in process, the system automatically prints out an ID badge for visitors to wear on-site. These badges are often a key visual indicator for staff that the visitor has checked-in and is complaint.
When a printer runs out of paper and a visitor is checking in using the kiosk, that visitor is presented with a screen indicating that they should move to a different kiosk to resume their check in and have a badge printed. In this instance, the check-in will not be completed until a badge is printed.

Yes, you can change the settings in the Management Portal for different visitor types so that when that visitor is checking in using a kiosk where the printer has run out of paper, they will simply complete their check-in and continue into the facility without a badge.

π€ How do I change the settings so that certain visitor types can enter without a visitor ID badge?
You will need to change the settings in the Management Portal. Follow the steps below:
Log in to the Management Portal
Navigate to 'Visit flows' on the left hand side
Click the edit icon on the right hand side of the visit flow you would like to
implement this option for (e.g. visitors, patients, contractors or staff)
Scroll down to 'Badges'
Un-tick the box next to 'Badges required for entry'.
Click 'Save' at the bottom of the page
Repeat steps 3-6 for each visitor type within 'Visit flows' who you would like to implement this change for.
