App Crash

If the app has crashed, your device may display one of the following:

  • Register Device screen

  • RateIt logo screen

  • Blank screen

How to Fix It: Perform a Hard Reset

You can resolve this issue by performing a hard reset on your device:

  1. Press and hold the Power Button and the Volume-Down Button at the same time.

  2. Continue holding both buttons for 8 seconds or until the device starts the reboot process.

Once the device restarts, the app should function as expected.

Device won't turn on / Charging Issue

If your device shows a black screen or a charging icon but doesn’t turn on, it may not necessarily indicate a faulty device. The issue could be related to the charger, cable, or power source. Please follow these troubleshooting steps to determine the cause and resolve the issue:

Step-by-Step Troubleshooting

  1. Check the buttons
Ensure no buttons (Power, Volume, or Home) are being pressed or stuck.

  2. Verify the power source
Plug the charger directly into a wall power socket instead of a USB port.

  3. Inspect the cable connection
Disconnect and reconnect the charging cable securely.

  4. Test with a different cable and adapter

    • Use a different cable and adapter to charge the device.

    • Test them separately.

    • Ensure the charger is rated 10W or 12W (tablet charger). Avoid using a phone charger or charging via a computer’s USB port.

  5. Try a different power outlet
Plug the charger into another wall socket. Allow the device to charge for 15 to 30 minutes before attempting to turn it on.

  6. Turn the device on
After charging, press and hold the Power Button for 4 seconds to power the device on.

  7. Perform a restart
If the device doesn’t turn on, press and hold the Power Button and Volume-Down Button simultaneously for 8 seconds or until the device reboots.

Unresponsive Touch

If your RateIt tablet's screen isn't responding properly, you might notice one of the following issues:

  • The screen freezes when a mood is selected.

  • The screen only responds after applying hard touches.

  • The screen is stuck, and it takes a long time for customers to complete interactions.

Confirming if Voice Assist is Enabled

For Android Devices

  1. Press and hold the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons at the same time.

  2. Keep holding until you see a pop-up message confirming:
"Voice Assist turned off with Volume up and down keys."
