🖨️ What will happen when someone is checking in and the printer runs out of paper?

At the end of the check-in process, the system automatically prints out an ID badge for visitors to wear on-site. These badges are often a key visual indicator for staff that the visitor has checked-in and is complaint.

When a printer runs out of paper and a visitor is checking in using the kiosk, that visitor is presented with a screen indicating that they should move to a different kiosk to resume their check in and have a badge printed. In this instance, the check-in will not be completed until a badge is printed.

The screen below will be shown to the visitor:

🤔 Can I change the settings so that a badge is not required?

Yes, you can change the settings in the Management Portal for different visitor types so that when that visitor is checking in using a kiosk where the printer has run out of paper, they will simply complete their check-in and continue into the facility without a badge.
